The school year has begun, and I would like to say welcome to the fifth grade at Double Tree Elementary School! I am looking forward to working with your child. However, I feel that it is imperative that you understand in order to make this school year a super learning filled year, we must work together as a team. We must support each other at home and at school in order for our children to be successful.

Our philosophy is that all children can learn if they are taught. It is our endeavor to teach, teach, teach, hoping that each student will reach, grasp, and learn, learn, learn.

Parents, please communicate with our children daily. The prognosis for today's youth does not look good, but I believe the best for our boys and girls. We must keep the lines of communication open, and support each other effortlessly.

I am looking forward to a wonderful and productive year. Please contact me at school regarding any concerns and/or questions. Remember, together we can!

Alittle About Myself, and Life

I come from along line of school teachers. My mother, Gloria Bibbs, is a 3rd grade teacher in Walls, MS. my oldest sister, Angela Bibbs, was a school teacher, and my youngest sister, Mekia Hearn, was a school teacher. I also have aunts and uncles that are teachers.

I earned my degree from Lemoyne-Owen college in 1993, and my Master's degree from Freed-Hardeman in 2001.

I came to Double Tree Elementary School in 1996 teahing 6th grade. Two things have changed since then, my classroom and my last name.

I was married in April 6, 2002 to my wonderful husband Christoper Knowles of 6 years. We both enjoy working with kids and building houses.

My goal this year is to make sure that all my students get the best education at the Best School In The Whole Wide World!
